External Collection Agencies

After collection efforts are exhausted, students that have not paid the total balance due or are not enrolled in the former student payment plan will have their account referred to an external collection agency for further action.

It’s always beneficial for students to work directly with collectors from the Bursar’s Office regarding re-payment options before placement with an external collection agency becomes necessary.

Once a student account has been transferred to an outside collection agency, payment arrangements can no longer be made directly with Temple University Bursar staff. Students will need to contact the collection agency directly to make payment or to discuss the account.
